Milwaukee Business Journal: Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin competition kicks off

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and Johnson Financial Group announced the fifth annual Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest, beginning with nominations from Aug. 17 to Sept. 4.

“Wisconsin’s manufacturers have shown resiliency and determination in the face of COVID-19,” WMC president and CEO Kurt Bauer said in a press release. “As we approach Manufacturing Month in October, we hope this contest will showcase the spirit and tenacity of the state’s largest industry and its hundreds of thousands of dedicated workers.”

Rice Lake-based manufacturer Henry Repeating Arms won the 2019 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin with its Big Boy All-Weather Rifle.

Any product that is manufactured in Wisconsin qualifies for the contest. Nominations can be made at www.madeinwis.com.
