This collaboration with the world’s oldest brewery, Weihenstephan.
Glendale, Wisconsin – The Bavarian Bierhaus, located at 700 W. Lexington Blvd in Glendale is releasing Zwickel Festbier, a beer brewed in collaboration with Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest brewery, located in Freising, Germany.
It was obvious to both parties that the recipe should honor the German purity law of Reihheitsgebot; then came decisions to bring together the best of Germany and Wisconsin. The receipt features Weyermann malt, Weihenstephan’s legendary lager yeast, and Wisconsin grown hops. Neureuther describes the beer as “a true Festbier–light bodied with smooth malt character, bright hop aroma, a subtle fruitiness, and a clean, mild bitterness.” He goes on to say, “Zwickel Festbier is more than just a beer. It’s a testament to friendship, heritage, and the shared passion for brewing excellence: from Freising to Wisconsin.”
Brewed and made in Glendale, Wisconsin. This is the first Beer made in the United States that was a collaboration with the oldest brewery in the world! Made in Wisconsin
