The Milwaukee Brewers introduced the world to the Racing Sausages on June 27, 1993, when they became the first Major League Baseball team to feature live mascot racers. What began as a fun game day promotion quickly grew into a tradition that fans have embraced for more than three decades. Bratwurst, Polish, Italian, Hot Dog, and Chorizo have each developed their own personalities, creating unforgettable moments for fans of all ages while becoming a symbol of Brewers baseball and Wisconsin sports culture.
We here at Olympus Mascots built the original costumes that brought the Racing Sausages to life and have continued to help keep them race-ready for over 30 years. From that first race to today, the sausages have become one of the most recognizable and loved parts of the ballpark experience, delighting generations of fans and representing a unique piece of Wisconsin pride!
