Description: Plate fin heat exchangers are essential for cryogenic gas processing, that means they make gases colder. They are used to separate air into the pure gases of nitrogen and oxygen for a huge range of applications in manufacturing, science, leisure, medicine and food processing. They are also driving the clean energy wave through the liquefaction of natural gas to create LNG from US shale gas so it can be shipped all around the world and liquefy hydrogen so it can be safely stored and transported. The technology was developed in La Crosse in the 1950's. Since then over 13,000 units have been shipped all around the world and the town is still host to the only manufacturer in North America.
